Looking for the easiest online payment option for international clients to PH
Hi everyone! I work remotely and most of my clients are from other countries, mainly the US, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada, etc. I’m looking for an online payment/banking service that makes it really easy for my international clients to pay me, and ideally lets me withdraw the money directly to a Philippine bank account, GCash, Maya, or another local account. I’ve considered PayPal, but honestly, it seems like a hassle with all the bank verification and other requirements, so I’d rather avoid it if possible. I’ve also been looking at Wise. Is Wise a good option for this? I’m a little confused because it seems like you may need to deposit money first before you can fully use certain features. I’m not sure if that applies to receiving payments from clients. Basically, I’m looking for something where: - My international clients can pay me easily - I can receive payments in USD and other currencies - I can withdraw/transfer the money to my Philippine bank account, GCash, Maya, etc. - Minimal fees - Easy setup and verification - Ideally, my clients don’t have to jump through too many hoops For those in the Philippines who also work remotely with international clients, what payment service do you use and what has your experience been like? Is Wise the best option, or are there better alternatives?
I had one account and I started my own business. After years of everything okay, one customer whose demands for the work was not realistic. We finished the contract and thought nothing of it and then my banks locked. She put in a complaint and has taken me to Court, she has no leg to stand on and actually owes me at this point. The issue I have the bank has closed my account and when I I tired to open another it says they can’t and that’s because I have a fraud token on my name. This isn’t how the system should work and I’ve tried 6 accounts since and nothing. Does anyone know a business or personal account that I can use as I have no bank so can’t work at the moment unless it’s small jobs for cash (which I am declaring) can anyone help. Thanks

Shopify Randomly Reissued My 2025 1099… Switch to Big Commerce?
Shopify sent a corrected 2025 1099-K after I already filed. Would you consider switching platforms? I’m a small seller making and selling physical products. My original 2025 Shopify 1099-K showed roughly $100,000 in gross payments, and I already filed my 2025 taxes reporting my income and deducting my business expenses. Then, around early October 2026, Shopify sent a corrected 2025 1099-K showing only about $6,300 for January. All the other months showed no income, even though I had sales throughout the year. I updated my business information to a single-member LLC around September 2026, but I don’t know whether that’s connected. I’m trying to get a clear explanation from support. I really like Shopify, the app, and everything I can do with it, but this feels pretty crazy. This business has become an important source of income for me, and I don’t want to lose it or keep dealing with confusing tax reporting. I just want accurate reporting so I can file my taxes and deduct my expenses. Has anyone experienced this? What would you do moving forward? I’m unsure whether there’s any reason I’d need an amended return when the original income was already reported, or whether Shopify just needs to fix the form. I’m also considering BigCommerce. Would anyone recommend it for a small seller who makes their own products? Would switching platforms or payment processors help, or would you stay with Shopify and work through this? Splitting payouts across three providers to avoid freezes
We collect USD from US customers and pay a small dev team in India. Started on Stripe alone, got flagged twice for "unusual payout pattern" within 4 months, each time a 5 day freeze. Current setup: Stripe for card payments, Lemon Squeezy for the subscription/billing side, and Unlimit for the business account that actually receives and holds the USD before we convert and pay contractors. Idea was that no single provider sees the full flow, card in, subscription logic, payout out. It's worked for 7 months, no freezes, but I can't tell if that's the design or just quieter volume than before. Onboarding on the EMU side took about 4 days, which surprised me after the usual bank runaround. Anyone running something similar long term, or is splitting providers just delaying the same review from happening somewhere else?

I use MMEX. It can export CSV files and is a handy way for me to track mostly personal finances because it has an Android app. I do freelance work, and I would like an invoice generator to go with it. I have used a lightweight, open-source, offline desktop invoicing application, but I am not so happy with the results. For example it can't attach a QR code to the bottom of the invoice. What free invoicing software would you recommend that can do what I need? I was told that Invoice Ninja, Wave or ExpressInvoice / NCH Software are what I want. However I thought I would just ask the community here to see what they think would be a good match for me. I wish MMEX did invoicing. It does so much else. I am not looking for the invoice software to actually integrate with MMEX. It can work standalone. I am just giving you an idea of what I do use for my finances. I use it mostly for personal use, but I do have some business on it; my business isn't big enough to really need something more sophisticated.

Hey all, We're building self-ordering kiosks (Electron app) and need to hook up payment terminals. The flow we want is simple: the kiosk sends an amount, the customer pays on the terminal, and we get back success or failure. We don't want to touch card data at all, so we're aiming for a semi-integrated setup where we just say "charge 120 SAR" and get a result. Most of our clients are in Saudi Arabia, and many already have terminals they'd like to keep using. For anyone who's built something like this, I'd love to hear: Multi-brand support: How do you handle different terminal brands/providers, especially when clients want to keep their existing hardware? Standards: Is there a common protocol, or does every provider ship its own SDK/API? Existing tools: Are there libraries, middleware, or abstraction layers that already solve this, so we don't have to build an adapter for every vendor? Local connection: Can terminals usually be controlled locally over USB, Serial, or LAN? Anything to watch out for from Electron? Testing: How do you mock or simulate terminals during development? Saudi specifics: Since our clients are in Saudi Arabia, does that change anything about the implementation? For example, local regulations, required protocols, or certifications, or restrictions on which providers/terminals we can use. In our country, Stripe and Square are not available. We want to sell GoHighLevel to local businesses, but payment is a problem. Somehow I feels like every tool like the qbo, taxdome, canopy, content snare or whatever you use has one or more lacks that makes us to complete the task in hand manually. I have seen the export-fix-reimport, chasing the same set of folks for the same docs every quarter, with the year end coming close the w2/941 recon never matching the books is another theatre.. I wish to hear experiences of others and looking for whether there are better softwares or you come up with an hack or just that you keep wanting to do it manually for peace of mind or the grind of bookkeeping :-)
Is there a possibility for a more basic version of Quickbooks?
Hello! I’ve been using Quickbooks Desktop for Mac, then QBO recently. It seems like they have added a lot of features I don’t need. I’m on the Simple Start plan, which is now like $38 a month. I really just use it to keep the books balanced and my accountant uses it end of year to do taxes. My bookkeeper uses it once a month to balance the books too. I do not invoice through Quickbooks, but use a program that is more in line with my industry that is more customized. I do accept credit cards through QBO, but could easily find another way to take CC if needed. I’d love a more simplified plan. It’s hard to find the stuff I need to use, with how complicated it is now. And I really don’t need the AI features, and would be happy to not have them. I do like how the bank is tied to the account and auto enters stuff, but they have had that for years. It also seems that there is no longer an accountant discount available I’m asking this because I did a search for prices for QBO when someone in an industry group was complaining about that they pay. I found an Essentials plan for $31, but the page wasn’t the US site. Are other countries getting better deals than us?

Dodo payment for adding a paywall as extensionPay is not working for me
I'm thinking of adding a paywall to one of my extensions. The best option on the market seems to be ExtensionPay, but the catch is it connects to Stripe, and having a Stripe account as an individual is such a hassle for Indians since they only offer invite-only accounts. So I'm also looking at Dodo Payments and PlayToPay as alternatives. Has anyone used these platforms for accepting payments? Would really appreciate some genuine feedback.
At what point did you stop making invoices manually and get an app?
I think I’ve finally reached the point where my spreadsheet system needs to retire I have a small residential cleaning business in Virginia. Started solo in 2023, but we’re now a team of 5 and bringing in around $12k–$16k in a normal month. Up until now I’ve been creating invoices myself and tracking payments and expenses in spreadsheets. It worked when I only had a handful of clients. Now I’m spending way too much time checking who paid, finding old invoices and trying to make sure my expense records match up. So I’m looking for the best invoice app for small business owners who are still handling most of the admin themselves. Nothing too fancy. I need to save customer details, create invoices with our logo, keep a list of services/prices, track paid and unpaid invoices, record expenses and deal with taxes without turning it into a whole project. Being able to customise the invoice layout a little would be great too. I don't mind paying if it's reasonable, but I'd rather not jump straight into some $100/month system when our needs are still basic. I genuinely want to see what people around this size are using. Also, if you can share roughly how many invoices you send or the revenue range you're managing with it, that would help a lot.

What I'm looking for: •No start up fees. •Someone willing to do business with a start up. •No cloaking or anything that's going to get me on the match list. •No minimum revenue. This is a start up so there is basically no processing history. (Started using stripe but stopped immediately after 2 transactions after realizing it was against their TOS) •No sales calls. I've been using Toggl Track for a while, first as an ADHD tool, then to track billable hours when I went into consulting. It works well enough, I like the invoice exports from reports, and it's overall fine. I recently recommended it to a colleague who is a new consultant so he could track his time. He set it up, set the timer going, etc and all was well. Then he asked me how to generate and export the invoices. I was puzzled since it seemed pretty straightforward to me, but I took a look at his interface and didn't see anything about exporting invoices. I finally had some time to look into it today, but it's a weekend so I had to talk to their customer support AI bot. The exact wording is shortened by me: Me: How do I export an invoice generated from reports? Bot: Click the "Create invoice" button on a report and you can see previous invoices by clicking "Invoices" on the left hand menu bar Me: I don't see either of those buttons Bot: That makes sense. You're on Toggl Focus, not Toggl Track. Toggl Focus doesn't have an invoice feature Me: How do I access Toggl Track? Bot: Just go to track.toggl.com and use your existing login Me: When I follow the link, it just redirects me back to focus.toggl.com Bot: Of course, you don't have a Toggl Track license or trial so it'll redirect you to back to Toggl Focus Me: How do I get access to Toggl Track? I wondered if my colleague had accidentally signed up for the wrong service, but when I visited the Toggl homepage, there's a banner across the top stating "Already using Toggl Track or Toggl Plan? Both remain available and supported for existing users" so it seems like the product with the invoicing features is a legacy product and not one that you can actually sign up for now? I'm just baffled and a bit embarrassed that I recommended a product that doesn't do the one thing he really wanted. Is my assessment accurate? That Toggl Track and their invoice generation is no longer an offering that they are allowing new signups for? If that's the case, this is the only thing I use it for and I'm now looking for a new tool myself in case this gets deprecated or loses support in the future... Any suggestions? lol
