I also followed up on LinkedIn, and after I reached out, the client blocked me. \- ₹30,000 (Saudi client): The client says the project will be completed in August and that payment will be made after that. There isn't a fixed payment date yet, so I'm waiting for now. \- ₹7,500: A small project where I built the backend in Go. After the work was delivered, the client stopped answering my calls and messages. \- ₹18,000: I developed a clinic portal. The client keeps saying more changes are needed and that payment will be made once everything is finished, so it keeps getting delayed. Valid EIN, business address, and corporate bank account available. Founder: Non-US resident (based in Asia). Business Niche: Software development, custom web components, backend scripts, and browser automation tools. The Problem: Mainstream gateways (like Stripe) keep rejecting us instantly. Hello! I recently started an online shop (Etsy) and I want to set up and EIN to protect my SSN online. Do I have to now set up a business bank account, or can I use my personal bank account? My bank account was set up before the EIN and it isn't tied to the EIN. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get myself in hot water by having an EIN and not having a business bank account. Side note, I am a sole proprietor, and I don't have any employees. In the future I would like to have an LLC tied to my business, but I don't think my business is quite at that point yet. I hope in the future to expand past Etsy, and do some freelancing, so I want to get this set up properly from the beginning. Small plumbing shops — how do you keep track of quotes and follow-ups?
For the plumbing business owners / one-man shops in here, how are you keeping track of people after you send them a quote? I’m talking about stuff like water heater replacements, fixture installs, drain work, small remodel jobs, repipes, etc. Customer calls, you look at the job, send the estimate, then they say they’ll “talk it over” or “get back to you,” and then it just kind of disappears unless you remember to follow up. Do you guys use Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, a spreadsheet, notes app, calendar reminders, or just memory? Also, how often do you actually follow up after sending a quote? Like: “Hey \[Name\], just checking in on the estimate I sent over for \[job\]. Let me know if you had any questions or wanted to adjust the scope.” Does that work, or does it come off annoying? I’m putting together a simple follow-up system for small contractors/plumbing shops, not a full CRM, and I’m trying to make it actually useful for guys who are in the field all day. I’m thinking it could include missed call text scripts, quote follow-up texts, old lead follow-up scripts, a simple lead tracker, a quote rescue calculator, and a quick guide for when to follow up. Payment Processor recommendation for small jewellery business?
I am opening an online jewellery shop. The website has been in development for 3 months and now when the time came to integrate the API for payment processing- I’ve been rejected by Revolut Business, because Jewellery industry is apparently high-risk. I’ve worked before for online/offline payments with PayNL, since I’m located in Belgium and they are okay for jewellery, but very low chargeback fraud security. Can anyone recommend a Payment Processor for jewellery market? I’m not looking for cheapest, but secure. Since my business is based on custom orders it is crucial that payments are not frozen.

The problem is the bank might not see a clear source for these regular deposits. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Do banks (especially BoG) start asking questions or freeze the account over consistent crypto-related top-ups? Any issues with AML/source of funds checks? Tax-wise — do I need to declare this? Been running an ecommerce store out of denver selling home goods and crossed economic nexus thresholds in texas, illinois and washington all within the same quarter this year. So so annoying that after years of submitting self assessment tax info on the HMRC website, with no problems, we now have to download software, spend hours trying to fill it all in, and submit it to HMRC 4 times a year. I am very simple - I am a contractor and have a day rate. I give invoices for my daily work, and the businesses I contract for then pay into my bank account. Very simple. I claim £0.45 per mile driven to these places and have a few registration and insurance fees to pay per year. How much time/money do you spend to keep your "software stack" together?
As an Shopify/FBA/FBM/Walmart/ebay seller operating my own warehouse, pushing inventory to FBA/3PL as well as managing cargo movements from factory to FBA/my warehouse/3PL there is a ton of decent/good software at our disposal compared to the OG days where things are done on excel. I'm paying almost $5000 a month for various platforms- from order management systems to warehouse management systems and platform/marketplace management systems and it is definitely much, much cheaper than hiring programmers, and the software has vastly increased productivity by having a more organized warehouse, easier data flow from one platform to another, automated order processing, reducing warehouse staff and coordination time, it basically pays for itself multiple times over. However, it does not come without issues. My difficulty now is, with a large stack of software platforms, it is getting more and more time consuming to manage this stack on a daily basis, monitor for bugs, deal with errors employees reach, and liase with these platforms/report errors. On top of that, because certain platforms deal with certain things, the data lives in many places, sometimes we have data consistency issues. The stack handles the sales of 250,000 units per year mostly well, but Its coming to be almost require a full time staff to manage the stack to run the operation, deal with errors and issues. I mean if the salary is 75,000 and the platform is 50,000 a year, i'm basically paying $0.50 per unit. So my question for the community is how are you handling this? What works for you? What are the pain points?

i have a small school, about 80 kids and every month it's the same thing, some parents pay on time, some i have to message once, twice, three times, and a few i'm still chasing when the next month's fee is already due. Everyone pays differently too, some paynow, some bank transfer, one or two still hand me cash, so i'm sitting there every month trying to tick off who's actually paid and who i've imagined paying. it's hours of admin and i think there there has to be a less painful way than me being a part-time debt collector. :/ i have hitpay but how can i be more effective?
How can I get proof of address for my LLC's virtual business address?

I'm now opening a business bank account, and the bank asked me to provide proof of the business address. They wouldn't accept my Articles of Organization or my EIN confirmation letter. I am trying to help my mom who has a shopify page she uses to sell books to schools. I don't know if this is backwards of a lot of industries, but typically if a teacher or staff in the school wants to buy something, they have to go to the school and generate a PO and then they usually send that to the company (her) and she sees that, and then ships the order. I am not sure if this is the correct term for what she is doing. The problem right now is the flow. Some people will straight up buy normal with a credit card or something like that. However, she has a manual payment option for schools doing this. However, she / we have messed with a few add-ons and we haven't found a clean way to make it so schools can attach a PDF at checkout. I've seen a bunch of apps that let you add uploads to product pages, the cart, etc. I just want that to appear for people who are doing this payment option. Is there a best practices workflow for this sort of thing?

Trouble registering to payment processors on Shopify
I have my shopify site ready to launch, but I have been struggling to find a payment provider who I can register to. A lot of them require details I don’t have like business ID, VAT ID. I can’t use shopify payments, since it’s not available in my country. I tried Paypal, but the website is bugged and seems to think I’m in the US when I put a country in Europe. I can’t fill out the form they’re asking me for. Did any else have this issue as well starting out? Is there something I need to do before applying for a payment processor? I’ve never done this before and I don’t know where to turn. I called the Tax office regarding this issue and asked them if I need to register my personal business. They didn’t know and told me to contact an accountant. The accountant also didn’t know what my issue is. Any advice is appreciated.
